Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions that come up most often.

Revolution

Question: What makes revolutionary analysis different from traditional intelligence analysis?

Answer: It’s done similarly to other forms of analysis. The difference is that the items and evidence and reports that you have to assess are completely different. Because you’re not just assessing the current real state of the items, but you’re also assessing trend lines so that you don’t do a snapshot analysis, but you’re doing a long-term analysis. But what seemed to be the biggest problem is that people don’t understand, or it’s not taught to them, what factors actually constitute a live revolution, as opposed to the spectacles or events that are very visible.

Question: Does AI cause revolutions?

Answer: Not by itself. AI accelerates communication, organization, analysis, and misinformation, but it doesn’t create the underlying grievances or structural weaknesses. Every communications revolution—from newspapers to radio to the Internet to AI—has increased the speed of revolutionary activity without changing the fundamentals of human behavior.
