Books, stories, and ideas by Rick Hoppe—from revolution and resilience to faith, fiction, and imagination.

Books

Every book begins with a question.

Some questions lead us into history. Others lead us inward. Whether examining revolutionary change, personal reflection, or stories of redemption and grace, my writing explores the forces that shape people and the choices that define them.

Featured Book

Eight Stages: A Primer on Modern Revolution

Scheduled for publication August 2026.

Modern revolutions rarely begin with violence. More often, they begin with dissatisfaction, loss of legitimacy, and the gradual erosion of trust between a government and its people.

Eight Stages: A Primer on Modern Revolution presents a practical framework for understanding how revolutionary movements emerge, evolve, and ultimately resolve. Drawing on decades of professional experience studying political instability, insurgencies, and social movements, the book provides readers with a structured approach to analyzing revolutionary change.
